Me encanta la comunidad que se crea al rededor de una mesa.
Me encanta la buena buena comida, las risas, las conversaciones se crean alrededor de la mesa.
Puede que sea una mesa elegante, elaborada, o puede que no, puede que sea una mesa sencilla, lo más importante es el amor alrededor. El amor del que prepara la mesa, el amor del que prepara la comida y el amor con el que nos sentamos juntos a comer.

🇺🇸👇🏻 Hoy mi Daniel cumple 13 años, oficialmente tenemos solo adolescentes en casa. Amo tener adolescentes en casa, son tan divertidos y ocurrentes! Muero de risa y de amor con ellos. Podemos salir a pasear, jugar juegos de mesa, conversar, ver pelis y hacer tantas cosas juntos!. Me encanta!
Y eso es una cosa que amo de mi trabajo, que puedo pasar mucho tiempo con ellos y compartir muchas actividades.
Mi Daniel pidió un pastel de cookies and cream, así que me voy a la cocina a hacerlo de una vez.

Today my Daniel turns 13, and we officially have only teenagers at home. I love having teenagers at home, they are so fun and witty! I'm dying of laughter and love with them. We can go for a walk, play board games, talk, watch movies, and do so many things together! I love it!
And that's one thing I love about my job, that I get to spend a lot of time with them and share a lot of activities.
Daniel asks for cookies and cream cake, so I'm going to the kitchen to make it at once.

(🇪🇸in the comments) February was a very beautiful month with a lot of action.
I had breakfast with @erikarojasphotos and @samadlerphotography, who I have here very close in Miami to talk about photography and projects together.
Met with clients and sent multiple quotes.
I spent a lot of time in my studio filming and photographing new blog recipes.
A new artificial light arrived and I was able to experiment with it, I love it!
I have been working hard with other women entrepreneurs from Latin America on projects that we are going to launch next year.
My highlight of the month: I can't say it yet, but I'm about to start an incredible project that I would never have imagined in my dreams 😱
Another highlight is that I am working on my kitchen remodel, I have visited a lot of Home Depots and stores for materials, looking at options and deciding on materials I want. I’m excited about this project 😆
We saw the super bowl.
We had a super romantic activity for Valentine's Day at @sarahglass_ceramics.
My Lucy suffered 3 lockdowns this month and it makes us all anxious 😰
The garbage truck stole our bin and it hasn't arrived yet 🤨
A cake stuck to the pan and I had to make it again 🥴
My first Newsletter showing a photography session “behind the scenes” was sent 📸
I met my cousins for our birthday breakfast, a month after our birthdays, the 3 of us are always very busy, but it’s always good to meet 🥰
I had human design session with @josephineclauseninc. Very interesting!
We went to the beach and photographed the sea.
Matti, our new nephew, was born. And my niece Emma turned 5 months old. So much love for these new babies in the family.
It was a good month and I am grateful. Looking forward to see what March will bring us.

Y tuve que volver a hacerlo 😅
Dominar tu arte, ya sea fotografiar, hornear, desarrollar recetas, pintar, bordar, etc, va a requerir mucha práctica, muchos intentos fallidos, caer y volverse a levantar. Lo bueno es que aprendemos de los errores (mi problema con la primera receta fue la cantidad de azúcar, tenía más de la cuenta, se caramelizó y se pegó al molde).
Si hoy te sientes frustrado o estancando, quiero darte una palabra de ánimo. Nadie dijo que sería fácil, hay días que las cosas no van a salir como queremos, pero tenemos una maravillosa oportunidad de volverlo a intentar en siguiente día.
Y no hay satisfacción más grande que hacer lo que más amas, aprender y crecer.
La receta buena 😂 viene al blog en unos días.

Enero y febrero han sido meses de tomar decisiones. Nos mudamos hace 5 meses nuevamente a Florida y al empezar de nuevo, vienen nuevos retos y ajustes, no solo a nivel personal, sino a nivel profesional también. Han sido meses de re ajustar la brújula, hacia nuevas metas, nuevos objetivos.
Estamos agradecidos de estar aquí y de este increíble país, que solo nos ha dado grandes oportunidades.
Agradecida de poder hacer lo que más me gusta en la vida que es fotografiar comida. Si pudiera seguir haciendo esto cada segundo de mi vida, lo haría con mucho gusto.

Lleno de mantequilla, súper suave y esponjoso y con un sabor delicioso a vainilla. La magia de este pastel viene de la cantidad de azúcar (pero te aseguro no lo vas a sentir tan dulce) y la calidad de la mantequilla y la vainilla.
Estoy casada con esta receta y no la cambio por nada. La uso para todo y es la base para el resto de pasteles que produzco. La inspiración de esta receta viene de un pastel de Marta Steward, que vi en uno de sus libros hace mucho tiempo. Al estudiar sus recetas de pasteles de vainilla, pude hacer modificaciones y muchos experimentos en la cocina, hasta llegar con esta receta que adoro y mi familia y amigos también. Buscando inspiración sobre que el hornear el fin de semana? En el blog puedes encontrar la versión en pastel en capas y también bundt cake con salsa de caramelo.

Uno de los retos más grandes que he tenido durante este viaje por la fotografía ha sido entender la luz. Suena fácil, pero no lo es.
Si nos vamos atrás y ves muchas de mis fotos viejas, hay unas fotos espantosas. Terribles! 😂 Con colores muy feos 🙈 En ese momento no entendía el por qué, después de muchos cursos y workshops he entendido finalmente que lo más importante qué hay que aprender en la fotografía, es la luz.
Las ventanas son maravillosas para observar el movimiento de la luz del sol. Te invito, a que hagas este ejercicio. Coloca una objeto sobre una mesa que esté cerca de la ventana. Coloca tu trípode y tu cámara con cualquier lente que tengas a mano. Y durante el día observa cómo la luz se proyecta sobre ese objeto, y fotografía de vez en cuando. Cada hora, durante todo el día vuelve ahí y observa luz y el objeto. ¿Te gusta lo que ves? Observa el movimiento, la dirección, las sombras, sobre todo las sombras.
La foto es de mi ventana en mi habitación en Croatia, durante un workshop de fotografía, las ventanas de esa casa en Croatia me enseñaron mucho acerca de la luz.
